RE: Markup perspective not code (was RE: Re: URIs
Data vs. Code.

The programmer says, "Who needs the DBA? She always gets in my way,
locks out my account, and provides no value. Data is just a file, I can
write that myself".

The DBA says, "Who needs the programmer? He is always screwing up my
database, implementing horrible data designs, and is arrogant. Doesn't
he realize that the only purpose of a program is to manipulate data?
Without persistent data, the programmer is nothing. Anyway, business
logic is just triggers. I can write that myself."

That is why I love XML. It's the pure intersection of programming and
data.
