Alexandre TakacsSubject: [Newbie] Using lookups in XSLT
Author: Alexandre Takacs

Hello

Pretty new to XSLT / Stylus Studio - I expect your indulgence :)

I am trying the XML Report feature and I already managed quite a bit... That being said I will now need to apply a lookup table to a numeric value (say 1="Apple", 2="Oranges", anything else = "Unknown")in my report and I muss say I can't figure out how to do this...

Any pointer / help much appreciated

Regards

alex

Hi Alex,

look-up tables can be easily modeled using XML.

Have a look at the video tutorial "Defining Joining and Grouping Data Using the Relationship Manager " at
http://www.stylusstudio.com/xml_video_list.html#XML Publisher

I also attached an example that shows how handle the undefined values using the "if" instruction.

Hope this helps
