Yitzhak KhabinskySubject: Stylus Studio unable to open a SQL Server 2005 SSIS Configuration file
Author: Yitzhak Khabinsky
Date: 23 Dec 2005 01:07 PM
Greetings,

I am trying to open a SQL Server 2005 SSIS config file, which is supposedly an XML file, but with a different extension (*.dtsConfig). Stylus cannot open this file. It gives me the 'The File is not a Convert-to-XML Definition file, but some other XML format' error. Attached is the SSIS Config file.

Regards,

DocumentSSISFeedKing.dtsConfig

Yitzhak,
I guess that when Stylus Studio prompted to choose the module with which you wanted to open the SSISFeedKing.dtsConfig file, you chose Convert-to-XML; at that point Stylus Studio tries to open the specified document as a conversion definition.

As SSISFeedKing.dtsConfig is an XML document, you should have chosen "XML Document" as the proper module; to change your setting, open Tools > Options > File Types, and in the row corresponding to .dtsConfig choose "XML Document". Next time you try to open the file, it will properly open as XML.

The suggested settings change in the Tools > Options > File Types
worked perfectly.

Thanks,
Yitzhak
