Is there a way to troubleshoot why StylusStudio fails to convert
a DTD to W3C schema? The DTD is valid. I have used other tools,
i.e., Trang and others and they convert the DTD successfully.
Stylus isn't providing any clues concerning why it is failing.
Is there any way to debug this issue?

If the output window visible? Try View|Output Window; any error
messages should be there. Otherwise, can you post the DTD here as
an attachment? We'll take a whack at it.
The suspect here is called dtd2xsd.exe and sits in the 'bin'
directory under C:\Program Files\Stylus Studio XML Professional Edition;
you can try running it directly from the command line if you wish.
We already use trang in several other places; perhaps we should use it
here as well.

Thanks for the advice. I ran dtd2xsd from the command line and
this is the error I received. Is there a way to plug Trang
into Stylus Studio for this function?
open Retirement\DTD\lww-nlm-authoring\lww-nlm-authoring.dtd failed!!
<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema'>
</xsd:schema>
but looking at the output I have solved the problem!!!
Basically the directory structure had spaces. I deleted the
spaces in the directory name and sure enough everything works
as expected.
