Hello-

I am a brand new user to Stylus Studio and XML. I have a
comma-delimited text file that contains most of the info that I need in
the XML document. However, most of the document uses values that never
change. Is there a way to pull bits of info from my .csv file, and to
pull the rest of the info from a template of pre-defined fields and
values?

Crissy,

There is more then one way to do it,
you could use just Convert to XML and tune the converter using
regular expressions to filter out the undesired content or
you could convert the entire file to XML then use XSLT to shape
the final result.

If you show us a sample from your file and the desired ouput, we can
try to provide a solution.

Here what you could do:

- Crate a new "Convert to XML"
- Use hunt.csv as input file and click on "line oriented"
- When you have the grid on the screen right click and select
"Get field name from this road"
- Save the conversion as hunt.conv
- then click the green triangle,
you have succesfully tranformed your input file to XML

The desired XML output (XMLSample) is very different so what
you can do is to use XML mapper to create an XSLT transformation

- Create new XSLT mapper
- select hunt.conv from the xml adapters as input
- select XMLSample.xml as target
- Map the structure you are interested
