Matt HoustonSubject: Variables incorrectly display in debugger

Take this line of XSL:
<xsl:variable name="EscrowID" select="@ESCROW_ID"/>

I expand the [Context] node in the debugger variables window and see that
@ESCROW_ID = 'ES01'.

However, the $EscrowID value in the same window displays
<ESCROW_ID></ESCROW_ID>

Not very helpful, or informative. Not to mention incorrect.

What's going on here?

The XSL executes fine and the output is all correct, so I know the value
is actually correct but the debugger is not displaying it correctly.

Thanks.

Hi Matt,

Thank you for reporting this.

Could you provide more information?

- Stylus Studio build number
- XSLT processor
- a small test case (XSLT + XML)

Ivan

Matt Thank You for the test case!

Yes there is a problem in the .net xslt debugger.
The fix will be available in the next update.

In the mean while as quick workaround you can wrap the value
in a string like that

<xsl:variable name="MyVariable" select="string(@myattrvalue)"/>

Thanks
Ivan
