Gideon SacherSubject: Schema Editor is disabled
Author: Gideon Sacher

Hi,
I've downloaded the free trial and created a schema from xml doc I have, but when trying to edit the schema, all the functionality is disabled and there is a "lock" icon on each property.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is the trial version not fully featured?
Thanks,
Gideon

Hi Gideon,
if you see the lock icon in the schema tree it means you are looking at the
"Schema" tab of the XML file; that is, Stylus is showing you how the schema
used to validate this XML file looks like, but it's read-only as it resides
in a different file. If you want to edit the schema you need to open it in
its own editor, for instance by choosing XML | Open Associated Schemas |
(the name of the schema file)

Hope this helps,
Alberto
