I am evaluating v6 of Stylus and I am impressed with your product offereing.
In particular I am interested in mapping EDI files to/from XML. Two questions:
1- Is it possible to use the .conv files that apparently drive the EDI prasers outside the Studio environment, i.e. in a .Net application host.
2- Is it possible to handle Master/Detail records with mixed fixed-length and pattern-defined fields in our input files? Any examples on this would be welcomed.

Q1. Is it possible to use the .conv files ... outside the Studio
A1. You can use them from the command line. Do something similar to what is explained in this thread: http://www.stylusstudio.com/SSDN/default.asp?action=9&read=2963&fid=23
Is this sufficient? How would you like to see them called?
Q2. Is it possible to handle Master/Detail records with mixed fixed-length and pattern-defined fields in our input files?
A2. Could you send a sample of the type of document you are interested in mapping?
We are continuing to update the mapper based on customer feedback, and even if we can't do
what you need now, perhaps you could influence our next release.
