Subject:Complex Data Types in 5.1 Author:Stephen Giannotti Date:20 Apr 2004 10:50 AM
I was previously using version 5.0 with no problems.
I have since upgraded to 5.1 and it appears the new version does not support complex data types as defined in my schema files.
It does appear to support elements with references instead.
Does version 5.q not support complex data types in schemas?
Do I need to convert all of my schemas, changing complex data types to elements?

Stephen,
Could you give us a better description of the problem?
Are you having problem with the schema editor?
If yes what view (tree/diagram/documentation)?
Could you send us a test case?
Ivan

While mapping XSD to XSD:
I create my XSD files via XML Spy.
I noticed that if I choose to represent complex elements as complexTypes, SS doesn't recognize them.
However, if I represent complex elements as elements then SS sees them.
Therefore, my schema files appear to be empty because no sub-elements are showing and I can't map anything.
Version 5.0 allowed me to see elements specified as complexTypes.

Stephen,
Are you running the latest build (173i)?
If no you should try it, if yes a test case will be much appreciated so
we can trace the problem.
Thank You
Ivan
