Using the released version of Studio 3.0 (41a), if you request to open a file and then click on either webDAV or FTP server, and then press cancel on the resulting server dialog - the folders are repeated in the open file dialog.

I can't reproduce that behavior; where are you seeing the duplicated folders, in the "Look in:" field or in the list control?

we have been able to reproduce the problem; the fix has already been implemented and will be available as an update in a couple of weeks.
