Sonic Software Releases Sonic Stylus Studio 4.6

Integration with SonicXQ™ ESB, New XQuery Editor, XML Schema Designer and Document Generator Features Improve Productivity for Integration Teams

Bedford, MAMarch 03, 2003 — Sonic Software today announced the release of Stylus Studio™ 4.6, its award-winning XML development environment acquired through the acquisition of eXcelon Corp. last year. Version 4.6 integrates Stylus Studio's hallmark XSLT debugger with the SonicXQ™ enterprise service bus (ESB), making it easier to develop transformations stored within the SonicXQ environment. Additional new features in Stylus Studio 4.6 include an XQuery editor and debugger, an innovative XML-to-HTML WYSIWYG editor, a graphical XML Schema Designer and automated XML Schema Documentation Generator, making Stylus Studio the most productive XML development environment available today. Integration of Stylus Studio with the SonicXQ ESB provides a very powerful combination for standards-based integration projects.

"Stylus Studio is bar-none the best tool I have seen for working with XML in all of its guises, from building and debugging XQuery programs to graphically designing XSLT transformations for generating HTML, to designing and mapping schemas and developing XML-based web applications," said Kurt Cagle, author of SVG Programming (APress, 2002). "It occupies a very special place in my toolbox."

"While most integration solutions require months, if not years, of expensive consulting services, Stylus Studio's support for integration standards enables our customers to leverage their in-house staff to tackle complex integration projects," said Paul Moxon, senior director of Product Management at Sonic Software. "The powerful combination of Stylus Studio with the SonicXQ ESB improves the productivity of integration teams, accelerating deployment of integration projects."
