Martyn SmithSubject: CONV loses its format on re-open
Author: Martyn Smith

I have set up a new "CONV" to the attached file. I created a new "Region" to identify the SCH and SCL lines as Header and associated multiple lines.
This generates a suitable XML output file, but following a save/close, when I re-open the .CONV the first line is now seen as "bad" and all subsequent lines become "header" type lines when I run the conversion against the same file.

Why will the .CONV not retain its formatting upon re-open?

Hi Martyn,

Could you post your .conv file?

Thanks!

I have overcome the issue by changing the default root label to a defined name!!

What I have now is a change of input file causing the field formatting to shift after the first line (as if the data file is a fixed length fields rather than CSV)!

I am not sure i understand the problem, it seems to me that you just need to node patterns, see the attached .conv template, i did not bother to name the fields.

Does it help?
