I have an XML-Document that is not valid in Stylus Studio, but valid in other editors, like Eclipse.

I reduced the document and schema to the following example:

test.xml:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<test:test xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:test="foo.test"
xsi:schemaLocation="foo.test test.xsd" xsi:nil="true"/>

test.xsd:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:test="foo.test" targetNamespace="foo.test">
<xsd:element name="test" default="0"
nillable="true" type="xsd:int">
</xsd:element>
</xsd:schema>

Validation is ok in Eclipse, but not in Stylus Studio

Validating test.xml...
file:///c:/test.xml:3,56: element 'test' is nil and must be empty

The XML document test.xml is NOT valid (1 errors)

Is there anything unallowed in test.xsd?

Ivan PedruzziSubject: Nillable element, Validation error with Stylus Studio, but not with Eclipse

Ingo,

The problem lays in how the schema processor interprets the default value (default="0") both Apache Xerces and Microsoft .NET process the default value first, then they validate.

As you know you can use multiple validation engines in Stylus Studio to match the behavior of you production system

Hope this helps
