When I try to convert EDI to XML I get the errormessage:
"Error during conversion: c:\Documents and Settings\Max Hansson\Lokala inst�llningar\Temp\SEF8C.sef (Det går inte att hitta sökvägen)"

It should bee "Lokala inställningar" with the swedish charater ä!

Could you show us how and where you are calling that?
Is it from the API? or from Stylus Studio?

Since the path to the SEF file should be a URL, probably the
"ä" needs to be URL-encoded as %E4.

It is from Stylus Studio.
I get the error-message when clicking the button "Preview Result"

Which version of Stylus Studio?

I created a path like that, and did this:

Start Stylus Studio 2010 build 1540c.
File > New > EDI to XML Conversion.
Open edifile.edi, which I had in C:\Temp.
Pressed the green triangle.
Saved the SEF file into c\Documents and Settings\Max Hansson\Lokala inställningar\Temp.
It ran without error.

Am I doing something different than you?

When I press the green triangle a get the file dialog "Save as" there I choose the new file cvtFile.sef i the diretory C:\eclipseproject\test\Edi
When a click the save button I get the errormessage
"Error during conversion: c:\Documents and Settings\Max Hansson\Lokala inst�llningar\Temp\SEF2F.sef (Det går inte att hitta sökvägen)"
The errormessage is not the diretory and file I have choosen in the filedialog.

It appears that some of the components we use have difficulty with non-ASCII characters in the path name. The path names are converted into URLs, which not all libraries handle equally well. Would it be possible to point your temp directory at a folder whose path does not contain characters outside the ASCII range of \u0020 to \u007E inclusive?

When I chage the environment variable TMP to %USERPROFILE%\Temp its works. The default for a swedish installation is %USERPROFILE%\Lokala inställningar\Temp. Thanks for god support!!
