Unfortunately I pi%%ed away the time for my trial version of Stylus studio and today I cannot use it.
I am considering purchasing the home verity and would like to know if it will be able to accomplish the limited functionality I require

1. Be able to create a XSL file from a existing XML.
Ultimately I need a HTML file show the XML data in a readable format. Is this a simple process ? are there any tutorials on this subject.

2. Be able to edit an existing a XML file and easily add in additional data.

Is there anyway to extend my trial version until I am able to try out the above two functions?

There are any number of ways of making XML look cleaner;
what they are depends on what the XML coming in looks like.
You can create a fairly simple program that would display
the XML in a tree by matching on node() and using things
like the attached.

That's a piece of cake for the Stylus Studio XML Editor.

Send an email to stylusstudio@stylusstudio.com explaining this.
I think they can grant you a single extension without too much
difficulty.

Thanks for the advise Tony,
I will contact Stylus
attached is a typical XML file I will be working on, and the attached pdf is what the output will look like.
Can this be done with the home edition or do I need to purchase the enterprise edition ?

You can use the XML to HTML module to create an XSLT that transforms your XML into that layout; but "WYSIWYG" (an XSLT editing component) is not available in Home edition; only in Professional and Enterprise (that you can install and try, provided that you got your trial period extended).

I just downloaded Stylus Studio so I can read some XML files I need to
peruse. All I can see is the raw XML with tags and so on. I got online
and started reading the forum(s), came across this thread and your
reply.
The Help docs only talk about creating XML from HTML, not the other way
around, as you were suggesting to "newbie".
I need to do the thing you were describing, so my question is, what
are the steps to accomplish it?
I am not a developer, I just need an XML reader, so I can look at the
XML documents I have, without all the tags. As it is, they are almost
impossible to read.

Thanks.
