TRANG and disable-abstract-elements
Author:

Hi,
I'm converting DTD to XSD using TRANG document wizard. One of the attributes of TRANG is disable-abstract-elements.
* what do I have to put into the value field of this element to make it active
* what will be the effect of doing this?
I have an DTD and when I convert it using TRANG and not using the disable-abstract-elements I will get an entry like:
<xs:element name="Envelope" abstract="true"/>
SAP XI can not handle abstracts yet. I want to suppress it somehow. Is this the way to do it?
Best regards and thanks
Ron

Hi Ron,
You have set the value to disable-abstract-elements to enable the flag
Hope this helps

Hi,
I already tried this but the result xsd still contains the line as stated in my first posting. (so I thought that what I did was not ok).
Should this be this way? Or what should happen?
Ron
PS: this abstract element is the root of the document

Ron,
Could you please send the DTD to stylus-field-report@progress.com?
Thanks

Hi Ivan,
Thanks for the results!!!
I uploaded the xsd's in SAP XI and now no problems occur (yet ;-) )
I only have to add the Targetnamespaces and prefix and then it'll be ok.
Fingers crossed.
Best Regards
Ron
