Hi All,

I have a table in XSL FO and I'd like to rotate the text inside one of the table cells 90 degrees, I tried doing the following:

<fo:table-body>
<fo:table-row height="50pt">
<fo:table-cell>
<fo:block-container reference-orientation="90">
<fo:block>Last Name</fo:block>
</fo:block-container>
</fo:table-cell>
</fo:table-row>
</fo:table-body>

But it doesn't seem to work, the text just disappears from the pdf output, any ideas what I need to?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sweta,

Be sure to use an FO processor that supports reference-orienation.
Apache FOP doesn't but RenderX does.

[INFO] FOP 0.20.5rc3a
[INFO] Using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser as SAX2 Parser
[INFO] building formatting object tree
[INFO] setting up fonts

Hope this helps
