Ed ShipleySubject: QUESTION ABOUT XML AND STYLUS STUDIO
Author: Ed Shipley
Date: 24 Sep 2005 10:23 AM
I am new to editing XML files. I have been editing XML
files in the FS2004 software package. So far thru trial and
error I have been able to do what I want. However, I have
hit a brick wall with one file I want to build. In the example
below you see the "Click Event" TOGGLE_AIRCRAFT_EXIT,
this will open and close the aircraft exit doors. In the file
I want to build I want the "Click Event" to duplicate a keyboard
entry of ("Shift" + "+" + " ] ". This will enable me to
get a TOP DOWN view.

IS THIS POSSIBLE ????????????

If I get Stylus Studio, Will it show me how to do it ???????

<Gauge Name="63" Version="1.0">
<Image Name="Icon_Transparent.bmp" ImageSizes="19,19"/>
<Mouse>
<Cursor Type="Hand"/>
<Click Event="TOGGLE_AIRCRAFT_EXIT"/>
<Tooltip ID="">Canopy Open/Close</Tooltip>
<Help ID=""/>
</Mouse>
</Gauge>

THANKS,
ED SHIPLEY

Tony LavinioSubject: QUESTION ABOUT XML AND STYLUS STUDIO

Stylus Studio is an excellent tool for editing XML files in general.
But XML files can describe all sorts of data.
In order to make the change you want, you might want a tool specific
to generating Flight Simulator-specific XML.
I've never used these, but something
like http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_fsds.htm
or http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=FSP-CDE-001
might be useful to you.
