Hi,
When using saxon8 with sql extensions executed within stylus studio it gives me errors like :
java.lang.RuntimeException: JDBC Connection Failure: oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
TransformerException:
at: null 1048575
Connecting to jdbc:oracle:thin,.......

When executed outside stylus in saxon directoy ( with same classpath) it works fine.

Why?

Classpath in stylus :
${classpath};C:\oracle92\jdbc\classes12.zip

in dos box :
C:\saxon>java -classpath saxon8.jar;saxon8-sql.jar;C:\oracle92\jdbc\classes12.zi
p net.sf.saxon.Transform colors.xml "C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Tomcat 4.1\w
ebapps\hawkhttp\xsl\MsgMonitorReportsql.xsl"

jvm :

java version "1.5.0_03"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_03-b07)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_03-b07, mixed mode, sharing)

Hi Adriaan,

I added saxon8-sql.jar and classes12.jar to the project CLASSAPTH (Project -> Set Classpath...) and seems to work fine with Stylus Studio 6.3 377K

Here my settings

<xsl:param name="driver" select="'oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver'"/>
<xsl:param name="database" select="'jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:ora92'"/>
<xsl:param name="user" select="'scott'"/>
<xsl:param name="password" select="'tiger'"/>

Hi,

Have you set the classpath for the jvm and the external jvm ? or have you set the classpath outside stylus studio?

I have added saxon-sql.jar but no way.

wel mine does not have add to classpath for a project
using version 6 : 287h release 2

It is working in the DDQ beta version.

But not in the 6.2 version of mine.

If it is not feasible to update to 6.3 try to copy the classes from classes12.jar into saxon8.jar located in
"c:\Program Files\Stylus Studio 6 XML Enterprise Edition\bin"
