Marcus LorenzSubject: XSL TRansformation to remove entitiy
Author: Marcus Lorenz
Date: 20 Jun 2005 09:07 AM
Hello,

i want to have a copy of an entity-tree without a specific child-node:

<E1EDP01...>
...many entities...
<E1EDPA1...>
...many entities...
</E1EDPA1>
...many entities...
</E1EDP01>

The result tree should include the whole E1EDP01 tree, without the E1EDPA1 node.

Thanks for your help.

Marcus

you need to create an empty template matching E1EDPA1 to skip this node.
other nodes handling will go to match="*" and copy the node to the output.

<xsl:template match="*">
<xsl:copy>
<xsl:copy-of select="@*"/>
<xsl:apply-templates/>
</xsl:copy>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="E1EDPA1">
</xsl:template>

Hope this helps.

Song.
