Casey KochmerSubject: help with mapper
Author: Casey Kochmer

I am using mark logic CIS with the style studio

I have it using themark logic processor no problems

when I try to use the mapper

it often errors out on various commands

for instance if my first line is:

default element namespace="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"

it runs in xquery mode just fine, but when I go to the mapper it blows up with "error unrecognized character "e" at line 1 column 11

its not liking the mark logic syntax?? is there any way to get the mapper to fully use the mark logic processor??

also is there a way to always default the processor to use another one, such as the mark logic processor, insterad of defining it for every new files

Thanks

Casey

Mark Logic and XML to XML Mapper support different XQuery specification.

Stylus Studio tends to be synchronized with the latest XQuery release.
So we can't guarantee to be backward compatible with older XQuery pre-release.

Things will greatly improve when XQuery 1.0 will be finalized.

In the next update we are planning to add a warning when switching to Mapper and the XQuery processor is not the built-in one.

The possibility to set the default processor has been added in the upcoming release (6.3)

Thank You
Ivan
