J RobertsSubject: SS5.0-127e: Reproduceable Crash in XSD attributes
Author: J Roberts
Date: 02 Oct 2003 03:49 PM
In version 5.0 127e (and in 127b) there is a crash I can reproduce when changing the value of an attribute within an XSD:

If I click to edit the Data Type value ("xs:integer" in my example) then the application "hangs" forever.

Am I doing something wrong? I upgraded to 127e to see if it was just a feature of 127b, but it didn't make a difference.

I can send the file to you if you need. Please given me an address if you'd like to view it.

Thanks,
J. Roberts

Hi,
the hang could be related to the two "import" statements, as we are
gathering informations about all the types defined in the schema (including
the types coming from xs:include/xs:import).
Can you send the files involved (XIF.xsd, nvs.xsd, spid.xsd, and the others
schemas the latter ones include) to my email address (amassari@progress.com) ?

Thanks,
Alberto

Dear Alberto,

I have emailed you a ZIP of the files you requested to solve the issue I posted:

XIF.xsd is included.
nvs.xsd is included.
spid.xsd is referenced (since it presently has a namespace and in on the web).

Regarding the above screenshot, I can also reproduce the problem when I double-click on the Type "xs:integer" on the Tree tab of the editor pane (shown in my image as highlighted in gray). Other xs references have the same problem.

Thanks,
- J. Roberts
