The current behaviour for files being updated seems to be odd. I am creating files from one stylesheet and have that file open in a window. The files are saved from the preview window. I have to force the update to new version by openeing the scenario property dialog.

The "file modified" check happens when Stylus Studio becomes active;
popping up a dialog triggers such event.
You can manually force a file to be refreshed doing Edit|Reload Document.

Why do you not perform the check when a file becomes the focus. I.e before you start editing. IN this way you do not edit the wrong file?

The reason is that we were trying to limit the number of cases in which we
have to do a round trip to the file system (which could be remote) to check
the file's timestamp.
And the scenario we were trying to solve was mostly the one in which a user
is editing a file open in Stylus on the same machine using a different
editor (in which case you would be forced to switch application).
I'm adding a PCR about this in our database, and we will talk more
internally about this issue.

Thanks,
Minollo
