David ReesSubject: Inconsistent namespace support between processors
Author: David Rees
Date: 24 Sep 2002 02:03 PM
Hi,

Attached are a sample XSL and source XML file that reproduced the problem. I have then listed the results for each of the processors. The built-in processor does not properly copy namespace nodes to the target file. The internal XalanJ processor actually has an exception, which seems to be from not properly qualifying xmlns:wsdl or wsdl attributes. All the others, including an external XalanJ processor work fine.

I have seen this in b96 and the latest beta build (100G).

Thanks,

dave

Thanks for the report; we can see the problem with the internal processor,
we are working on that.
About XalanJ, what version have you tried running as external processor?

Thanks,
Minollo

This is fixed in BL100i, now available as a 4.0 release upgrade:
http://www.stylusstudio.com/update (4.0 section)

....and as a 4.5 beta upgrade:

The problem still seems to be happening with the internal Xalan-J in 4.5.0.103e.

It does not happen with external Xalan-J versions:

Xalan = 2.2
Xerces = 1.4.4

Stylus bundles a more recent version of XalanJ, version 2.4; I'm assuming
that what you are seeing is a problem specific to XalanJ 2.4, but we will
investigate further.
