Glen CSubject: XSLT Scenarios - External PDF preview in eXcelon
Author: Glen C
Date: 14 Nov 2001 03:36 PM
I'm calling a custom Java/FOP app via 'other' processing instructions (scenarios) to render my XSLT FOP / PDF documents. e.g. my external processor creates the PDF file and puts it in a directory.

Is there a way to specify properties in the 'post processing tab' of scenarios that would grab the explicit pdf file (by name) and display it in the eXcelon output preview window?

Thanks!

Again, Great Product!!

Glen

Yes, you can do that.

If you specify a custom post-processing, Stylus Studio will invoke an
application (or a batch file) passing two arguments:
%1, the first one, is the input file (the result of the XSLT processing)
%2, the second one, is the output file which Stylus Studio will try to
display when the post-processing process is complete

If you copy the result of your post-processing in %2, Stylus Studio should
display the result in the preview window.
