Lou TSubject: Using Saxon 9.4 and integrated extension functions
Author: Lou T

hello,

is there a way to use Saxon XSLT with integrated extension functions? Reflexive extension functions do work but are not compatible to the Saxon home editions.

Hi Lou,

Which Stylus Studio Edition are you running?

Could you provide an example of "integrated extension function" which does not work in Stylus Studio.

Thanks!

there is a description available here:
http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/extensibility/integratedfunctions/ext-full-J.xml

i am currently trying the latest version 1893f but the problem is probably related to all versions of Stylus Studio. Saxon-HE requires the registration of extension functions using the Saxon configuration. it would also support using a Initializer but only when running from a command line - which isnt the case.

if that could be supported (i.e. using a config file with the functions/classes to be registered, or the option of using the initializer) that would be a buying argument.

For edition we intend Home, Professional or Enterprise.

Stylus Studio currently does not expose a processor setting for registering user defined functions in the Saxon binder.

I added your request to our database.

Thanks!
