I generally have an XML file with average 600 records. I have been using "Move Up" and "Move Down" button to orginize all the records for some of the child nodes. I have been moving nodes for each record which takes several hours sometimes. Is there anyother way to move up/down child nodes for the whole record set in the xml file.

Thanks,

Use Cut (CTRL+X) & Paste (CTRL+V) it's much faster and is supported on both Tree and Grid view.

Hope this helps

I think I couldn't explain my problem well. I have data in sql server. I create an XML file with c# to get data. I need to upload this xml file to the one of the web service. According to the schema I need to change the order of some of the nodes that I couldn't be able to do with c#. For example one node has several child node; one of the child node has also some child nodes. Therefore I have to use move up and down to change the order of the nodes for each records. Cut and Paste wouldn't make it faster for 600 records. I would like to know if there is something there that I can just tell which nodes to move and apply to all to records at once.

Thanks,

I see,

Rather the C# you could use DataDirect XQuery to pull the relational data and to shape the output XML as desired.

See the video demo at

Hope this helps
