Hi All
Im a newb to SStudio. I engineer cad libraries eg objects and perform maintenance/upgrades on them. They are converted into and xml where code can be modded in a batch process eg adding new parameters etc and then converted back to cad library. Previously I was just using word with a third party search replace tool to do block replacing etc. This is the first time I have really used SStudio to do something after shelling the cash. Ummm...the help file doesnt divulge much about batching and the replace tool doesnt seem to allow very large text for criteria etc. Am I missing something? I want to be able to replace a piece of xml eg
<Length Name="RevMarker_B">

"marker position >Y"

<Fix/>
<Value>0</Value>
</Length>

Hi Mark,
if the expression to be searched contains special character like new lines, you should check the "Regular expression" check box in the find/replace dialog, and enter a search expression like
<!\[CDATA\["marker position >Y"\]\]>
\r\n<Fix/>\r\n<Value>0</Value>
(the '[' and ']' need to be escaped as \[ and \], and new lines are represented as \r\n). The "Replace with" expression would hence be
<!\[CDATA\["marker position >Y"\]\]>
\r\n<Fix/>\r\n<Flags>\r\n<ParFlg_Child/>\r\n</Flags>\r\n<Value>0</Value>
