I am creating a Scenario using MS SWL SERVER 2000. I received the following error message:

[StylusStudio][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused

I downloaded the JDBC driver and installed it. However, I received the same error message when I created the scenario. I am not sure how to configure the driver. This has been a frustrating week for me working with this package. I think everything should be documented as to how you connect to your database. I need a direct solution to the problem. I have wasted one week.

Thanks.

Hi Dennis,

You don't need to download anything, Stylus Studio bundles the driver for Microsoft SQL Server.

- Are you running SQL Server 2000 SP3a?
If not you can download SP3a update for free from
the Microsoft web site

- Is the TCP-IP transport enabled on the server?
(see the SQL Server Network Utility)

- Is Security set to "SQL Server and Windows"?
(see the SQL Server Enterprise Manager)
