I installed StylusStudio Home evaluation Demo. I chose typical settings and let the installer do it's thing. File associations were hijacked to Stylus Studio for XML files (where they used to open with the MS program that created the xml file) and the icon associated with the file was hijacked as well. Nowhere was there a propmt asking if it was OK to mess up the file associations. I have uninstalled this product. How do I reset things back to the way they were?

That 'workaround' is fine up until you uninstall the trial, because of the way the file association have been made Stylusstudio will always see itself as the associated editor (even when you right click>>Open with...>>Internet Explorer)

Unfortunately, that's the way Windows works. There is no process
to 'revert' extensions to their old behavior.
Changing the settings isn't hard, though. Go into Windows Explorer
(not Internet Explorer), and choose Tools | Folder Options. Then
select the "File Types" tab.
From here you can control the behavior of any extension. Use the
"Advanced" button to select the default among registered behaviors,
or to add or remove a behavior.

and... A configuration step that I have never had to do before with any other software. Considering I run a development machine I have an awful lot of software.
