I don't know the answer to that but e.g. https://www.w3.org/TR/xpath-functions-31/#func-analyze-string also puts its result element into that namespace The function returns an element node whose local name is|analyze-string-result|. This element and all its descendant elements have the namespace URI|http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions|
