None of us know how to find out how many people in the world prefer truncation to rounding (or whether they are right to have that preference...). And it really doesn't matter how many people prefer one over the other: if your client is subject to accountancy regulations that say how it should be done, then that's what you have to do. In the real world some quite complex rounding requirements arise, for example rounding percentages so that they total 100. Michael Kay Saxonica
