None of the browsers support XSLT 2.... >does it make sense to teach it to undergraduate students? Why? Why NOT???? definitely browsers are not the only places that demand the use of XSLT. Surely with XSLT2 , things have progressed much farther than its initial intended purpose. The use of XSLT in data transformation systems in middle layer of an enterprise architecture , in publishing domain and in many such domains demand some complex processing of the source XML which are quite gracefully performed with XSLT2. So you can and should teach XSLT 2 to students with never before enthusiasm :) so calling it a bubble will be a bit sad.. >>Are there signs on the horizon that xslt/xpath 2.0 will become more spread soon? XSLT 2 has been in use since a while now, and I am sure it is QUITE Widely spread. Infact, my boss almost gets on to a frowning point when I use XSLT1 when I could use XSLT2 :) >>>BTW, I love the 2.0 possibilities including the schema awareness... Great!! we all love :) Vasu 2009/4/22 Studer Leo <leo.studer@xxxxxx> > > Hi > > I wonder, why the current browsers do not yet implement xslt/xpath 2.0 neither does php.
