I can't make sense of your exposition of the problem. Maybe that's just
me, but maybe it would help to post a sample of the input you want to
transform, along with the desired output (unless, of course, that would
punch holes in the list readers' screens), and also including the
attempt you've made at solving the problem. All in miniature, so people
aren't immediately discouraged, which probably means the code handling
the trigonometric functions must be extracted from the very big
stylesheet you're working on.
