It depends a bit on the size of my test file and what you are doing.
Sometimes if the top level element name is not what you expect, just
stopping there is better than carrying on and reporting that the other
10001 elements are not supported either:-)

Although I agree that sometimes carrying on is better. Also sometimes
I don't issue a warning but instead generate something like
<font color="red">!!!!<xsl:value-of select="name()"/></font>
so the stuff comes out in red in the output (which is a kind of warning,
just by a different channel). (<font has the advantage of working in a
browser but making sure the output is invalid against strict html dtds,
so they don't get left in by mistake:-)
