 $sorder can be 2 things (ascending,descending) - works fine $sterm is a string (ie. books/authors or books/titles) - not working, however I can view the variable using <xsl:text>$sterm</xsl:text> so the variable is being passed in fine but when it comes to showing the content the browser is taking ages to load, and in the end it doesnt load, blank page. Joe mentioned in his reply that it is ok if you are passing the name of one element but not a full path.
