Are you sure?  Wouldn't it continue 4,5,6 (or the second <seqlist>
should be a child of the first)?

Norma described her situation last month and is inferring a hierarchical presentation from sibling lists. This is, in effect, an "up translation" of going from something flat to something hierarchical. Often this requires recursive calls or other machinations, but Norma described her data as being very regular which allowed for simple counting and checking to be done.


Anyway, this is another ideal situation for building the structure you
want in a variable first, and then operating on that (which has been in
many other posts today).

But not with pure XSLT 1.0 ... only with extensions or XSLT 2.0 ... in pure XSLT 1.0 there is no access to a variable for XPath or XSLT processing.
