jaxp vs xalan

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any case-by-case comparison of
jaxp to xalan?  I'm weighing the options of using
xalan alone or using jaxp instead, but not sure if
everything available in xalan is also available in
jaxp -- as far as xslt transforms and xml
maniuplations go?
