Highlighting is about html, css, or javascript.   It has nothing to do
with xslt.  You have to figure out what the code should be in the web
page.  Once you get that working, then you can design your  xslt code to
re-create the code that works in web page.

What yu want to do is probably easy, but I cannot understand what you
wrote well enough to be sure.  Usually, either CSS styles or a
combination of CSS and javascript will do highlighting, depending on the
browser and exactly what you want to do.
