For example, what does the input data look like? Is EndDate an element in the input XML, does it contain the correct string, and is it a child of the current node? Or perhaps EndDate is a variable, and you simply forgot the '$' character? <QUOTE_DUE_DATE> <xsl:value-of select="concat(substring($EndDate, 7, 4), '-', substring($EndDate, 1, 2), '-', substring($EndDate, 4, 2))"/> </QUOTE_DUE_DATE> Dave XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
