..and unreadable, with hapazard use of whitespace, moreso than what can be
accounted for by generous word wrapping in transit.

Also it was not obvious what the merging rules are, so it's hard to debug.

Lastly, my own tests with 4 different XSLT processors yielded identical 
results each time, and none of them looked like the results he was getting.
