I'm curious where in the W3C collection of recommdendations text-transform is said to be deprecated. The latest Working Draft for CSS3's text module doesn't indicate this: http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/WD-css3-text-20020515/#caps-prop Nor does this appear in the XSL-FO v1 Rec, or in CSS2 that I can see. Nevertheless, translate() is another way to go, especially if you can't find a renderer. It's just that...text transform would be easier.
