I am trying to display certain xml elements certain ways, based on what type of element they are. Here is an example: test="self::view:textfield" This expression returns all of the element nodes named "textfield" in the namespace associated with the stylesheet's declared prefix for "view" along the "self::" axis. The result node set is empty for every node except for when the current node is the element node that you ask for. The boolean returns false for the empty node set and true for a non-empty node set. Tests for the current node being a given attribute or namespace node differ. I hope this helps. ................. Ken
