format number xalanc
Hi Michael,

I found what the problem is:

To get the format-number function to work under xalanc++ you need to install
ICU support.
The instructions for doing this are at:

http://xml.apache.org/xalan-c/commandline.html

Look under this heading: "Enabling ICU support for the Xalan executable
and/or testXSLT."

Thanks

David
