Use &#160; instead of &nbsp;.  The latter is an HTML-ism, you need to
import the entities into your XSL file if you want to use it there, e.g.

<!ENTITY nbsp "&#160;">

MSXSL is not compliant with the standard.  Give up hope on getting it to
work on IE until they decide to come up with a version that is fully
compliant with the official XSLT standard.
