I think there are definitely several scenarios in which validation of XSLFO would be desirable. Doesn't the popularity of the 'RenderX trial version' of a DTD clearly show that this is a real world need? I've been playing with XML Spy 4 beta 2 and it has support for building mySchema -> HTML transforms, using an XML Schema and an instance doc as inputs. It's a great idea. I'd like to be able to generate mySourceSchema -> myTargetSchema transforms the same way, this is a very good start. As a tool development activity, this scenario would presumably be in scope?
