Bare '&' is illegal in that context. Any modern web browser will 'do the right thing' with it when the link is clicked on. It was an artifact of the original Mosaic web browser that bare '&' chars embedded in URLs were *ever* accepted in HTML - they should not have been. To repeat: <a href="sdkfsdfds&">sdfdsf</a> is *syntactically broken HTML*. <a href="sdkfsdfds&">sdfdsf</a> is *syntactically correct HTML*. -- Benjamin Franz ... with proper design, the features come cheaply. This approach is arduous, but continues to succeed. ---Dennis Ritchie XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
