I'm guessing he really wants ™ (trademark symbol) with <xsl:output method="html" encoding="windows-1252"/> He is probably assuming ™ is character 153 in his favorite charset, rather than in ISO/IEC 10646-1, where it is a control character that is not allowed in a decoded XML document, not even by reference. - Mike ____________________________________________________________________ Mike J.
