Hi David. A "validating parser" will validate an XML document against its DTD, as opposed to a "non-validating parser" which will just ensure that the XML is "well formed". If you're looking to experiment with XML and possibly XSL then you might find IE5b2 worth a try. Even if you plan deploying an application with other tools, the IE5b2 browser makes for easy prototyping. Cheers Guy. xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on 01/29/99 07:43:06 PM To: www-html@xxxxxx, XSL-List@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx cc: (bcc: Guy Murphy/UK/MAID) Subject: XML to HTML Is there any tool (or set of tools) for checking the validity of an XML document against it's DTD, before translating into HTML? Thanks for any advice or help.
