Your example was exactly right:

 @namespace url(http://someuri.com/directory/structure/for/namespace);

This sets a default namespace that will apply to all unqualified element
selectors in a CSS style sheet.

Prince, our XML + CSS formatter, supports namespaces in CSS :)
